The last spending recap I posted on substack was by far my most popular share. I’m nothing if not a people pleaser, so enjoy being nosy through all the details of May’s spending. This is for two adults living in a medium-to high cost of living city. This doesn’t include what we pay for a place to live. A gal’s entitled to a few secrets.
Looking forward to sharing June next! Because honestly June’s recap will be just a very long list of ways money has gone flying out the door the past couple of weeks!
On to this week’s vitals…
What I'm Reading:
I finished None of This is True (affiliate link) in like a couple days. I’m not always into a thriller, but sometimes I’m just in the mood for a real page turner. And it was about a podcaster! So, I couldn’t resist.
What I'm Eating:
We were just on a trip to NYC and I devoured, well, everything. Pizza and bagels! High end dinners. Vegan nachos. Fantastic sushi. And now we’re home, have zero groceries, so today I had two peanut butter sandwiches and some spaghetti. Will definitely be hitting Costco this weekend.
What I’m Watching:
We watched The Residence on Netflix. You know I love a savant detective, so I thought this was fantastic. It’s a Shondaland show about a murder mystery that takes place in the White House. It reminded me a little of Pushing Daisies—campy and silly.
How I'm Moving My Body:
With abandon! I got a steroid shot in my left SI joint last week. Significant relief from chronic pain for the last year. I’ve been celebrating by splurging on boutique fitness classes all over the city.
What I’m Obsessed With:
I went to NYC for six days with only seven articles of clothing. I felt like an absolute packing genius! And then I got very fancy and linked all of the exact things in case you’re curious. (affiliate links) High level, I wore jeans, a white t-shirt, and a green jacket on the plane. I packed leggings, a tank top, and two dresses. Everything went with either white sneakers or Rothy’s flats. I don’t think anyone would ever describe me as a fashion plate, but I love, love, love a good little capsule wardrobe.
Sending you love, my friends. Be safe out there.
xoxo,
Liz
Hi Liz! The clothing link doesn’t appear to be working
